Update on car park works

Car park roadworks are continuing, with improvements underway to car parks 2, 3 and 14.

Car parks 2 and 3

Works commenced on car parks 2 and 3 on 9 April 2018, with a staged approach aiming to minimise disruption and keep the majority of parks open. Portions of these car parks will temporarily close as required.

In car park 2, a second entry is being constructed to enhance safety, improve connectivity and separate cars and pedestrians. Preparations are also underway for real time digital signage to be installed.

Construction will soon commence on the new solar car park in car park 3 to provide shading and protection for cars, improve access and create dedicated pedestrian walkways. Almost 4,200 solar panels will be installed. During this time, temporary DDA and blue permit parks will be provided as required, or drivers may use car park 4.

The loop bus stop will continue to be located as close as possible to car park 3 for people who catch or disembark in this area.

Works on car park 2 are expected to be completed in May 2018, and car park 3 in July.

Car park 14 (Sturt)

Roadworks have commenced from Monday 9 April in car park 14, for the installation of digital signage.

The existing entry and exit will remain open with all parks available throughout the work.

The access road to the left of the car park 14 entry will be narrowed as trench works are undertaken towards the Sturt South Building. These works are anticipated to be complete by 21 April 2018.

On Saturday 21 April, works will cross the road at the entry of the car park and drivers are asked to please follow the signage and directions of traffic management staff.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times throughout these works.
