Prominent Indigenous lawyer and activist Noel Pearson will present the Don Dunstan Foundation’s annual Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration on 29 May 2018, one year from the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The event is named in honour of Dr O’Donoghue, who has dedicated her life to improving the welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Noel Pearson founded the Cape York Partnership, the Cape York Land Council, and helped to establish a number of organisations dedicated to advancing the outcomes of Cape York’s Aboriginal communities.
The oration is an important part of Reconciliation Week and Flinders University is a proud event sponsor.
