Beijing graduates applaud Flinders program

Flinders University’s College of Education, Psychology and Social Work is about to commence the next round of Master of Education studies at Capital Normal University in Beijing, China, with a new cohort of 43 Masters students.

The program, which started in 2004, now has more than 550 graduates, with the most recent course completed in April. These graduates were recognised with a special graduation ceremony on July 14 at Capital Normal University in Beijing, which was attended by Flinders’ Associate Professor Kerry Bissaker, Emeritus Professor Larry Owens and Dr Mirella Wyra.

During the presentation ceremony, Ms Liu Wei, now working as an English teacher at a secondary school in Beijing, gave an inspiring speech on behalf of the graduates. Her presentation highlighted the great experience students had with the Flinders program – especially the diversity and focus of their learning experiences – and how they are now eager and capable of applying this knowledge in their future work.
