Creating higher performing athletes

A new book by Associate Professor Shane Pill that provides a practical and theoretical guide to the benefits of player-focused training will be launched at a breakfast event at Tonsley.

Perspectives on Athlete-Centred Coaching’ is an in-depth analysis of athlete-centred approaches to coaching – a style known to produce excellent athletic outcomes through promoting player ownership, responsibility, initiative and awareness.

The launch is open to the public and will include breakfast together with presentations from Associate Professor Pill; Dr Deb Agnew (who will discuss athlete-centred coaching and well-being); Terry Magias (athlete-centred coaching in swimming); and Mitch Hewitt (athlete-centred coaching and tennis).
