Travelling with ease – Flinders Travel Roadshow

Staff are invited to meet the University’s preferred providers in the airline, accommodation and car hire industry at the Flinders Travel Roadshows over 18 and 19 October 2018, while learning about the University’s new travel booking tool and perhaps winning one of several travel prizes.

The roadshows (for all staff) will be hosted by Flinders in the Alere Function Centre. With generous prizes donated by preferred travel providers, the sessions will provide an excellent opportunity to hear about changes designed to make travel for University business a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

Staff who attend a session will be able to speak to Flinders’ preferred travel providers and hear about the new Flinders online booking tool, Serko, which enables a more expedient experience without the phone calls and paper trails of the past.

Using Serko for domestic travel bookings ensures Flinders can provide staff with the best possible deals for flights, accommodation and hire car, whilst enabling them to easily manage own travel bookings. This improved user experience increases efficiency, cost, safety and reporting capability across the University.

With travel such a huge part of University life for many staff members, Flinders has been working alongside its preferred travel management companies – Business Travel by STA and Phil Hoffman Travel – to best understand the challenges for staff and improve University travel.

Staff will experience Serko through Service One when accessing travel queries and services.

Why attend?

  • Receive updates on Flinders Travel Policy & Procedure and learn about Serko, the online booking tool for domestic travel.
  • Learn about the options available for travelling, including the different airline fare types and the deals available to staff.
