Associate Professor Shane Pill has just returned from a visit to Portugal and the Netherlands, where he was invited to share his expertise on sports education and athlete training to students and teachers at two universities.

During his visit, Associate Professor Pill taught classes at the University of Coimbra, Portugal and at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.

While at Fontys, he ran a symposium for teachers and coaches on athlete-centred coaching, where he also met with Joonas Kolkka of World Soccer Partners, who is a retired professional soccer player and also coach at the PSV Eindhoven football club, and Jan van Loon, who is head of coaching at Utrecht football club. World Soccer Partners was founded by Mr Kolkka and provides support to professional soccer clubs across the globe.
