Major traffic changes with Darlington upgrade

Another traffic switch will occur on South Road between Ayliffes Road and Tonsley Boulevard, St Marys over the weekend of 10 and 11 November 2018.

Key information

  • Southbound traffic will be moved onto the newly constructed surface roads.
  • There will be no right turn from Tonsley Boulevard onto South Road. People exiting Tonsley Boulevard and wanting to travel south will be required to turn north, then use the new U-turn facility to travel south on South Road.
  • If you are travelling south on South Road and wish to turn in to Tonsley Boulevard, use the new signalised U-turn facility just prior to the Ayliffes Road intersection.
  • Traffic on Tonsley Boulevard will continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction.
  • These changes will remain in place until mid-2019.
