Recounting a BRAVE message about domestic violence

If you missed the recent BRAVE lecture Beyond the Bruise – which drew a capacity audience at Flinders Victoria Square on Wednesday, 28 November – you now have the opportunity to view the event online.

Professor Sarah Wendt delivered a powerful lecture titled “Beyond the Bruise: the invisible elements of domestic and family violence”, which explored the issues of domestic and family violence, raising questions about the future of the domestic and family violence workforce.

She stressed that domestic and family violence is more than just a headline, and that the actual work involved in responding to this complex issue is largely invisible and unknown. She addressed pointed questions about how we can best support the sector and workforce to tackle domestic and family violence, and to ensure the best outcomes for families as well as maintain a sustainable workforce?

This most recent event in the BRAVE Flinders Research & Innovation Series attracted great interest, selling more than half the available seats on the first day of release. Now you can catch this lecture online via the BRAVE webpage.
