Science nominations open tomorrow

Recipients of the 2019 Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science will share in a $750,000 cash prize pool in recognition of their outstanding research or teaching – including a quarter of a million dollars going to the top achiever.

This year the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science has made it even easier to nominate for one of the nation’s most prestigious science awards.

Seven categories recognise achievement across a diverse range of disciplines and career stages.

Nominations open on 6 February and will close on 12 March 2019. Flinders has an abundance of outstanding academics in science, maths and technology, who are encouraged to find out more. Interested applicants are advised to contact Dr Marina Delpin for application advice and assistance. The Flinders internal closing date is 26 February 2019.
