Wildlife on campus

Due to Flinders’ unique and enviable natural location, our campus is shared with a variety of wildlife including koalas, snakes and birds.

At this time of year, snakes are active and reports of snake sightings are regularly received – particularly as they move through their habitat to access water and food.

Please exercise caution and common sense and do not approach any snakes.

If you believe the snake is likely to be problem – for example if it is moving towards a building or lying across a footpath – please call security on 8201 2880 and report the sighting.
