Brave tackles bullying

The next BRAVE event will focus on the physically and psychologically damaging issue of bullying – and how a Flinders initiative is addressing this significant issue that affects the health and wellbeing of one in five Australian children.

Whilst face-to-face bullying is widely recognised, cyber-bullying poses broader challenges that require an integrated approach when implementing effective interventions.

Professor Phillip Slee will discuss how a Flinders University initiative is providing new insights into the effective implementation of anti-bullying programs and supporting schools across South Australia – and around the globe.

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion comprising Professor Slee, Trinh Mai from the Department of Education and Tony Mahar, who is the Student Wellbeing Counsellor with Brighton Secondary School.
