Meet the yogis

The benefits of yoga are bountiful – developing strength and flexibility, soothing nerves and calming the mind – and now Flinders Sport & Fitness has an extended yoga offering, delivered by experienced instructors.

Ainhoa (pronounced I-no-ah) caters for people at all levels in their yoga journey, with a focus on flow-teaching through a science-informed perspective. She believes moving through the asanas (yoga positions) provides the means to reconnect with our bodies and spark self-discovery.

Greta is a Vinyasa yoga practitioner, clinical exercise physiologist and a mindset and health coach who has studied the neuro-limbic system. She sees yoga as a beautiful tool to find balance in body, mind and spirit.

Justine teaches both the Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga with a passion that incorporates modern meridian theory and mindfulness. Also trained in yin and power style, she offers a class to suit everyone and brings a sense of self and peace to each practice.

Rachel, qualified in Hatha yoga, is also a nutritionist, healer and author. She is a firm believer in the value of yoga for spiritual awakening or simply a glorified stretch to nourish the body and calm the mind. Her style is suitable for all levels, ages, stages and expectations.

Timna believes that Hatha flow yoga inspires people to live each moment mindfully with a sense of peace and joy. Her classes combine a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration, to help people deepen their practice and leave the mat refreshed, nourished and balanced.

All yoga classes are included with a Flinders Sport & Fitness membership, or cost just $5 for a casual class. The group fitness timetable is regularly updated and available online.
