Profile event launches new staff network

An informal peer-to-peer support network that will deliver inspiring activities designed to encourage curiosity and self-efficacy in managing a career at Flinders is being piloted, and will kick-off with a profile event next week.

The APEX (Advancing Professional Excellence Network) has been developing organically by a growing number of staff who are keen to cement and expand their efforts, and connect like-minded Flinders staff who are interested in their professional development. It will also help to promote the support available from a variety of Flinders divisions including the Professional Development Unit and People and Culture.

Inaugural event – My Journey

APEX will present its first event, ‘My Journey’ featuring Kerrie Campbell, Chief Information Officer, Information and Digital Services, on 8 March 2019 which will be followed by a workshop on self-mastery and succeeding at work in April.

Ms Campbell will share her career trajectory and what influenced her decision to work in the tertiary sector. She will discuss how she has managed her career, and what she would tell her younger self.

There will be time for questions after her presentation and a light lunch will be provided.

Please contact apex@flinders.edu.au for any questions.
