Explore innovation in ageing

Registrations are open and abstracts invited for The South Australian Gerontology (SAGe) Conference, to be held at Flinders at Tonsley on 21 June 2019.

The annual event is presented by the Australian Association of Gerontology SA Division, and brings together a diverse mix of people who are interested in the broad issues around ageing, including service providers, health professionals, policy makers, advocates, researchers, students and older people themselves.

SAGe aims to:

  • challenge – introduce delegates to ideas they may not have previously considered
  • inspire – encourage delegates to build on current practices with new ideas for delivering best outcomes for people in their communities
  • engage – meet, collaborate, partner, exchange ideas and build networks with peers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines

Eminent keynotes at the 2019 event include Tasmanian-based authority on nutrition care Ngaire Hobbins, who is a writer, speaker and educator on food, ageing and brain health; and Matiu Bush, a Victorian-based social innovator in public health.

Abstracts of 250 words are sought that highlight innovations relevant to people, place or policy, for oral or pitch presentations. Submissions close on 11 April 2019.
