BUPA and Flinders University are offering staff a free flu vaccination in April, with bookings available at Bedford Park, the Flinders Medical Centre, Tonsley and Sturt.
The flu shot takes about two minutes, and can help prevent flu-specific illnesses in healthy adults. Immunity developed against the flu can last up to 12 months, with an annual vaccination recommended as the flu viruses change each year.
Staff who receive the free flu shot will be asked to wait 15 minutes before leaving the clinic.
Appointments, exclusive to Flinders University staff, must be booked online.
A Frequently Asked Questions sections is provided on the booking webpage, addressing some of the common questions about the vaccination and vaccination process.
