Adelaide Crows players Sarah Allan and Jess Foley – who have both been Elite Athlete scholarship holders at Flinders University – have multiple causes to celebrate this week.

Ms Allan and Ms Foley were part of the victorious Adelaide team that won the AFLW Grand Final by a decisive 45-point margin, before a record AFLW crowd of 53,034 people at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

Adding extra sparkle to their celebrations, the duo has been selected for the AFL Women’s All Australian Squad, a collection of the competition’s 40 best players from this year that includes nine Adelaide players. The 21-player final team will be announced at the AFLW awards dinner, being held in Melbourne tonight Tuesday April 2.

These latest successes crown a continuing career of great sporting achievements for Ms Foley, who made the transition to AFL from an elite basketball background, being a former Adelaide Lightning player, a WNBA draftee and having represented Australia in international competition.
