Welcoming a new Dean

Professor Saul Newman has commenced in the role of Dean (People and Resources) for the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Professor Newman previously held the position of Head of Department of Politics and International Relations at Goldsmith University, London. His research is in continental political philosophy and concerns questions of sovereignty, political theology, human rights and post-anarchist theory. He has taught and held research positions and visiting fellowships at many institutions, including Goldsmiths University of London, the University of Ljubljana, University of Sydney, University of Western Australia and Macquarie University. 

Professor Newman’s most recent book is Political Theology: A Critical Introduction (Polity 2018).
