Following the soft launch of the APEX (Advancing Professional Excellence) network in March 2019, a second event is scheduled for next week, with a workshop looking at ‘Self-mastery at the heart of Leadership’.

Presented by Flinders’ Juan Smith, the workshop will include an engaging group discussion to explore self-leadership as a path to successfully leading others.

The APEX Network has been developing organically by a growing number of staff who are keen to cement and expand their efforts, and connect like-minded staff interested in their professional development. The intent of APEX is to deliver a series of inspiring and thought-provoking activities to encourage curiosity and self-efficacy in managing a career at Flinders. It will also help to promote the support available from other Flinders divisions, including the Professional Development Unit and People and Culture.

Staff attending the workshop can expect to take away at least three learnings for immediate implementation in their current role at the University.
