National delicacy symbolises diversity

This Friday 17 May 2019 marks International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) and Flinders’ Ally Network is inviting the University community to a free make-your-own rainbow bread activity to celebrate.

Marking events such as this acknowledges the prejudicial behaviours that remain despite anti-discrimination legislation and policies, and reinforces the role of community-wide support to make the world a fairer place for LGBTIQ+ people – and a better place for everyone.

The event will take place on the upper plaza outside Flinders Connect, from midday to 2pm.

An initiative designed to enhance University culture, the Ally Network works to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ).
