Changes to payment summaries this year

Staff are reminded that due to legislative changes the University will no longer distribute payment summaries, which will be updated directly into myGov accounts instead.

As previously communicated by People and Culture, Single Touch Payroll (STP) is a legislative change requiring Flinders University to report tax and super information to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) each payday.

The University started reporting this information to the ATO at the end of March 2019 and after every pay cycle, staff year-to-date tax and superannuation information is updated in employees’ myGov accounts.

Accordingly, Flinders University will not provide Payment Summaries this financial year ending June 2019 via the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal.

Income Statements (as they are now known) will be available to employees via their myGov accounts, from their registered tax agent or by contacting the ATO on 13 28 61.

Further information on how STP may affect you is available via the following links ATO Website, Online Services, or for information on setting up a myGov account or Frequently Asked Questions please visit the dedicated Flinders webpage.
