Off and running

As a sure sign that spring is near, the Flinders Cup fired up today, Tuesday 13 August, for its 2019 round. If you missed the starting gun don’t fret, late entries are welcome.

A fun and supportive event that encourages people of all fitness level to participate in physical activity, Flinders Cup runs for six consecutive weeks to advance performance or simply ease people out of winter stagnation.

Participants may choose whether they complete one, two or three laps of a 1.4km circuit.

This year’s cup will be held at a new, more central location, with the course starting and finishing on the south side of the new footbridge.

A one-off fee of $10 applies for each participant to assist in covering the cost of the event. This is payable either in person on the day or via eftpos at Flinders University Sport and Fitness.
