Student happenings on campus

The Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) and student community will celebrate ‘Be a Better Human Day’ this week, while picnics may also be spotted across campus to mark R U OK Day.

Be a Better Human Day

The award-winning Be a Better Human initiative was developed by FUSA to reflect campus culture and the need for everyone to embrace consent, respect and empathy.

This special day is just part of the broader initiative and will involve a stall at Women’s Health Day in the Hub on 11 September, with information and giveaways for students.

R U OK Day 12 September

Staff may also notice student picnics around campus on September 12, organised by Oasis, to help connect the student community and encourage people to ask the simple question, R U OK?

The R U OK? initiative is all about inspiring and empowering everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them, and support anyone struggling with life.

It’s also an opportunity to remind staff of resources available to support their health and well-being, and where to refer students in need.
