Student Ideas Gateway goes live

The Student Ideas Gateway, a student initiative, enables students to provide their thoughts, improvements, ideas and critiques to Flinders University.

Students have requested an avenue to provide their ideas and feedback to the University, with confidence they will be heard. With this in mind, the Compass Program developed the Student Ideas Gateway. This initiative gives students a direct channel to provide their thoughts, improvements, ideas and critiques to Flinders.

Engaging the student voice through this channel will increase the University’s ability to continuously improve the student experience, including the facilities and services offered. It also ensures students know how their ideas and feedback are actioned.

The Student Ideas Gateway does not replace existing mechanisms to make an official complaint or appeal, or to report an incident related to safety or sexual harassment; these processes remain unchanged.

How does it work?

Students are encouraged to provide their feedback through the Student Ideas Gateway by completing the online form. The Student Experience team will acknowledge the feedback within two business days and initiate collaboration with relevant areas across Flinders to help implement the ideas or constructively respond.

Students have the option to remain anonymous, in which case they won’t be responded to personally, however their ideas will still be considered.

All ideas that are submitted and implemented will be showcased on the Student Ideas Gateway website, as new ideas come to life.
