Information on SATAC applications to Flinders undergraduate and postgraduate courses is available through Flinders Business Analytics (FBA), including applications for commencement in 2020.
Data includes ‘Point in Time’ first preferences, total preferences and offers. Point in Time describes today’s data displayed with information from the same day last year, enabling a ‘point in time’ comparison.
FBA provides a wide range of reports and data about applications, students, human resources, research, surveys, finance and more in one convenient location. The extensive information includes:
- Reports and dashboards about students, including enrolment trends at College, Teaching Program and Course level, attrition, retention, graduate employment rates and topic completion status
- Reports and dashboards on student applications and offers through SATAC
- Reports on research outputs, including publications by category and research income by category at College level
- Reports about staff, including FTE for academic and professional staff
- Course summary profiles and topic demographics
- Historical trend data for 5 – 10 years
Several one-hour workshops have been scheduled to help staff get the most out of FBA. These include a short, structured session which focuses on one aspect of using FBA followed by the opportunity to ask specific questions.
Upcoming workshops
Thursday 10 October 2019 – Viewer Basics. This workshop focuses on how to find and read application reports.
Thursday 14 November 2019 – Dashboards. Multiple reports can be brought together in a single dashboard to provide a wide range of information on an area of interest. This workshop will focus on accessing dashboards and manipulating them to a desired look, together with exporting them.
