Policies open for consultation

Two policies are currently open for consultation via the Flinders Policy Library: the Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Policy and the Work Integrated Learning Policy.

The Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Policy is an important element in Flinders’ response to the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Change The Course: National Report on Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment at Australian Universities.

The draft policy and procedures outline the University’s commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for work and study for all members of the University community and to providing an accessible mechanism for compassionately and appropriately responding to reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Comments on the draft Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Policy can be emailed to policyandsecretariat@flinders.edu.au. Feedback closes Friday, 8 November.

The draft new Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Policy follows a 2018 review of WIL at Flinders and has been developed taking into consideration the review’s recommendations on the definition of WIL, governance and monitoring arrangements, as well as the principles-based format of the University’s new policy framework.

Comments on the draft WIL Policy are to be submitted by Friday, 1 November.
