Event introduces rich data resource

A seminar will introduce researchers and academics to the opportunities within the Raine Study – one of the largest prospective cohorts of pregnancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood in the world – following a recent agreement with two Flinders colleges.

The University’s Colleges of Education, Psychology and Social Work and Nursing and Health Sciences together became the first national partner to join the large study, which comprises 2,900 women, their parents, children and now grandchildren who have been studied across health and wellbeing factors for 30 years.

This partnership gives College staff free access to the diverse and in-depth developmental, health, biological, and molecular data contained within the study.

Professor Leon Straker, Scientific Director at the Raine Study, will present on the data and its opportunities at the seminar. The morning event will also include a presentation on how the study’s data is already being used at Flinders, and how to access it. Morning tea and networking is included.
