Tomorrow’s searing temperature prediction is a timely reminder of the impact of accumulated sun exposure, with staff encouraged to take advantage of skin checks at Flinders to help them identify early changes.
The free skins checks are provided by BUPA and Flinders University and available to all staff.
In addition to regular self-checks, professional advice can help us get to know our skin and identify suspicious changes at an early stage.
An experienced dermatoscopist will go through any findings at the appointment and provide a tailored results card. They will share information on preventative measures to protect skin and tips on how to differentiate between a mole and the possible signs and symptoms of skin cancer.
Appointments are available at various times over November and December.
