Temporary closure of medical library

The Medical Library will close at 9pm this Friday 29 November and reopen on Monday 6 January, to expedite the completion of repairs being undertaken in the ceiling by SA Health.

Additional wifi points will also be fitted and 150 new task chairs delivered during the repair works.

Library staff at Central and Sturt Libraries will respond to enquiries directed to Document Delivery, SendIt, Service One, the FLO Help and Information Desks. This service provision will extend up to December 24 (1.00pm University closure) resuming in the New Year from Thursday 2 January 2020.

To further minimise impact of the Medical Library’s temporary closure, the Library will:

• transfer the Medical Library’s high demand print collection to Central Library
• arrange alternative access for the Foodworks software (to assist Masters of Nutrition students)
• ensure that everyone is able to request physical items from the Medical Library’s main print collection for pickup at either Central or Sturt Libraries

Staff are asked to please return books to the Medical Library before 30 November, or to Central Library (24/7 access chute), Sturt Library, or the Reception of the College of Medicine and Public Health.

The Library thanks staff and students for their patience while these valuable improvements are delivered.
