Spotlight on veterans’ transition to education

Flinders Alumna and former Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Force, Air Vice-Marshal Dr Tracy Smart AM (BMBS ’87), will deliver the keynote address on transition as a health issue for veterans at the inaugural Veterans at University Symposium on 17 February 2020.

The Symposium, hosted by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work, will more broadly feature a report on current national higher education activities for veterans as well as a strategic discussion session around developing and enhancing higher education pathways for veterans.

Associate Professor Ben Wadham will present the results of the Flinders University Higher Education Pathways Research Project for younger veterans, which forms part of the Supporting Younger Veterans Grant.
