New running group for all

Calling runners looking to be better, faster or more efficient… or those keen to make a start but not sure where to begin. Look no further than right here at Flinders, with a new group up and running – and free for all.

Staff are invited to join the new fitness running community on campus, which meets weekly on Wednesdays at the pavilion (top oval) from 6:00am to 7:15am.

Participants may elect to run 5, 10 or 21km – and complete beginners are most welcome.

Inhouse fitness champion, Chris Rawling, will run the sessions. A former professional athlete, he has represented Australia in Olympic-distance triathlon and worked in the fitness industry for over eight years.

“During that time I have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of population groups to help them reach the health and physical fitness goals,” he says.

This healthy initiative is being delivered by Flinders University Sport and Fitness. Visit its Facebook event page for more details.
