Welcome new Dean

Professor Joanne Arciuli has joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences as new Dean (Research).

Professor Arciuli’s interdisciplinary research focuses on child development and disability, specifically the mechanisms that underpin individual differences in human communication skills and interventions to improve these skills.

She works with typically developing children and those with developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, together with their parents, educators and clinicians.

With 88 peer-reviewed articles to her credit and eight Australian Research Council grants among her funded projects, Professor Arciuli brings substantial expertise to the college.

Her experience includes international research fellow at IAS Durham in the UK, visiting scholar at Pennsylvania State University in the US and The University of Padova in Italy, and she is currently a SOAR research fellow at The University of Sydney.
