Food focus on campus

There’s a food theme around campus this week, with OZ Harvest back in the Plaza to support international students on Wednesday, and a student planting day in the Community Garden on Thursday.

OZ Harvest has been visiting Flinders University as one of several Adelaide locations this year, where they have been distributing food hampers and prepared meals to international students who are under financial pressure during the pandemic.

This week will also see a student planting day at the University’s Grow, Eat, Learn Community Garden at Bedford Park campus, for a day of planting vegetables, herbs and flowering natives. Aligned with Keep Australia Beautiful Week, the Flinders University Student Association has organised the event, which also enables students to ‘adopt-a-plot’ and grow whatever they like in their own planter box.
