An Adelaide visualisation studio has produced a behind-the-scenes video sharing its team’s recent experience of working in The Void at Flinders University.

Visualisation studio Modelfarm worked in The Void for a week to produce the animation Pedala, drawing on the talents of Flinders staff, students and graduates to bring its vision to life.

The Void at Flinders University is South Australia’s largest motion capture studio and virtual reality lab, and was launched earlier this year. It is available for use by industry as well as the University community.

The team at Modelfarm shared the benefits of working in The Void in the video (below), including the dramatic reduction in production time.

Visual Effects and Entertainment Design students were among those helping out on the gig and gaining valuable industry experience – including one student who was subsequently offered paid work on two projects.
