Many building works are now underway across the campus. Works are scheduled to minimise disruption where possible. With the completion of the academic year building activities are now increasing as spaces are enhanced and repaired ready for 2021.

Registry Road – temporary relocation of all bus stops

From Monday 30 November to mid February 2021, all the bus stops on Registry Road will be temporarily relocated to the upper level of car park 1 while the bus shelter is upgraded and the footpath widened.

This relocation includes all Adelaide Metro buses and campus loop bus services. Bus users should follow the signage past the Sports Centre to the upper level of car park 1 to catch all services. For any access assistance, please contact Security on 8201 2880.

Sturt South building – power outage this weekend

To safely undertake an electrical upgrade for the Sturt South S210 lecture theatre, a power outage has been scheduled for level 2 of the building from 6am to 6pm on both Saturday 28 November and Sunday 29 November.

On Saturday, the only area affected is:

• Sturt South Level 2 – includes the crossover entry point to the building from car parks 13 and 18 and the ASMS building.

This power shutdown will be on the 2nd floor only and will not affect any other levels of the building.  To access the Sturt Library, please use the Sturt Café stairs entry.

Slow down in car park 12

Over the next few weeks there will be increased activity as Station Plaza is completed – the new Flinders space adjacent to Flinders Station. Trucks will be moving through the area and it’s likely traffic management will be required while some construction activities occur. Wherever possible, disruption to traffic and pedestrians will be minimised.

Staff and students are asked to please take additional care when moving through this area, follow all directional and safety signage and slow down, particularly around workers.

Turf’s up

Turf works in the north eastern corner of the Plaza will be completed this Friday.

Advance notice : car park 4 resurfacing

Car park 4 will be resurfaced in early January.  There will be no traffic access to the car park while it is being resurfaced so please avoid the area from this time, and use nearby car parks 2 and 5 over the rest of the summer break.

Sturt Creek retaining wall repairs

From 30 November, works will be undertaken to repair the Sturt Creek retaining wall adjacent Link Road near Belleview Drive. The works will involve earthmoving equipment operating from the south side of Sturt South building and to the east of ASMS.

The business blue bay parks will be unavailable during this time and the footpath from Link Road over the creek may be temporarily closed for safety reasons. Please avoid this area where possible.

Lift works

Maintenance on lifts in the Registry building, Biology and the Biology Discovery Centre will occur shortly. It’s anticipated the work will take approximately one day and building occupants will be notified once the schedule has been finalised.
