New teachers ready for 2021

The annual Medal for Excellence in Beginning Teaching Awards celebrate the many site partnerships and contributions made by Flinders’ pre-service teachers on their final placements in schools and early learning centres.
All participants, along with the final 29 award nominations, showcase the resilience, dedication, humility and professionalism of Flinders’ Education graduates – many of whom have already won teaching positions for next year.
Winners announced at a special event at the Tonsley Hotel are above (left to right): Valerie Costet (Gapp- Early Childhood), Christine Takasch ( Special Education), Jordana Montesi (Secondary Education) and Kellie Najjar (Primary Education).
The awards event, sponsored by Credit Union SA, also celebrated the achievements of Nikki Asikas, winner of the Flinders’ pre-service teacher World Teachers’ Day Award, and Natalie Moschakis, the recipient of the Early Childhood Australia Prize.
