Take your pick at the edible garden

Flinders’ edible garden, which was created last year in Social Science North courtyard, is growing well and some plants are already producing fruit. You’re all welcome to harvest produce – but please make sure you know which species and which parts of the plants are edible. Each species is labelled.

The edible garden forms part of Flinders’ wider sustainability initiatives and supports enhanced wellbeing and campus activation. Flinders also has a market garden near McHughs building and a community garden at Sturt. For more information about our sustainability initiatives or to find out how to get involved, visit flinders.edu.au/sustainability.

Sturt Oval Lights

Work commences this week on the installation of lights on the Sturt Oval. Four new light towers will enable the oval to be used as a training facility all year, providing additional flexibility to the University’s sports programs.  For safety reasons, please make sure you observe all temporary fencing, signage and bunting that has been put in place. This work will take approximately two weeks to complete and it’s our intention to keep the main playing field open and accessible throughout.
