Free music performances at Flinders return

For the first time in 2021, free music concert performances return to Flinders University, with a piano recital in Oasis centre on Wednesday 14 April, from 4.15pm to 5pm.

The performance will feature Shawn Hui, a third-year advanced piano student at the Elder Conservatorium, University of Adelaide. He grew up in New South Wales, where he studied music with Evanne Sherringham and Belinda Morton until 2019, where he moved to Adelaide to study with Anna Goldsworthy and Elenora Sivan. Some notable achievements from his musical studies includes receiving a High Distinction for London Trinity College’s LTCL piano exam recital and first place at the Nan Price Memorial Scholarship Competition in 2016. He will perform works by Chopin, Haydn, Beethoven Shostakovich and Liszt.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, bookings for this concert are essential , made online via Eventbrite. Attendance numbers are limited to maintain 1.5m physical distancing where possible. Attendees are asked to please arrive 10 mins before the performance – but not earlier. Refreshments will not be available at the concerts however guests are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. The concerts are free to attend, but cash donations are welcome.
