The Flinders University homepage attracts more than 1.1 million unique page views each year, with mobile traffic accounting for approximately 16% of these visits – and now it’s time for the homepage to enjoy and refreshed look.
In response to user behaviour and to better align the homepage to our focus areas for student recruitment, research and external engagement, an update to the homepage will be implemented on 19 April.
This update will:
- increase the prominence of study areas and course search to make it easier for future students to access information about study options at Flinders University
- use prominent space to improve access to the research and external engagement sections of the website
- continue to feature other externally facing promotions, such as news and events, throughout the page
- include an international version of the homepage customised for future international students.
A preview is provided in the screenshots shown above.
Entry pathways to staff (staff.flinders.edu.au), students (students.flinders.edu.au) and Library (library.flinders.edu.au) from the homepage will remain unchanged.
User activity on the homepage will continue to be monitored to inform further improvements.
