FUMA presents pop-up exhibition tribute

A special pop-up art exhibition is being presented by Flinders University Museum of Art in memory of Mount Barker artist Dora Chapman, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her death.

The free exhibition – Dreaming girl: remembering Dora Chapman – opened last week and will run until 28 May.

Born in Mount Barker, Dora Chapman (1911-1995) was a celebrated, painter, printmaker, art teacher and, along with her husband James Cant, stood as a key figure in Australian art.

The selected work in the current exhibition Dreaming girl: remembering Dora Chapman showcases silk screenprints from Flinders University Museum of Art’s collection.

This FUMA pop-up exhibition is being presented on Level 1 of the Flinders University Student Hub, near the entrance to The Tav, and is open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, but is closed on weekends.
