Brave exploration of Indigenous health

For the next Brave Public Lecture, Senior Research Fellow Dr Annabelle Wilson will address key questions about non-Indigenous leadership in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

This presentation – an important part of Flinders University’s National Reconciliation Week activities – will be delivered live at Alere Function Centre at 6pm on Wednesday June 2, and also available for viewing via livestreaming.

Dr Wilson’s thoughts on transforming this sector focus on positioning courage, accountability and strength as key attributes of non-Indigenous leaders who seek to make a difference in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

Her talk will also describe how these attributes can be enacted in a way that involves working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples, and upholds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, perspectives and leadership.

This Brave lecture – part of a continuing series of free public lectures on pertinent research issues – will be followed by an audience Q&A session.

Refreshments commence at 5.15pm, with wine sponsored by Serafino Wines, before the lecture starts at 6pm.

You can register to attend via Eventbrite.
