Lockdown and campus damage updates

Thanks to the great work of all South Australians, the statewide lockdown is set to end as scheduled at 12.01am tomorrow morning. The end of lockdown is good news for Flinders University – semester 2 started this week, and we look forward to welcoming our students back to campus in the coming weeks.

The Vice-President Corporate Services, Mark Gregory, has provided details of the return to campus plan in an email to all staff yesterday. Please work with your colleagues to implement the staged plan for the return to on-campus teaching, and reach out to your supervisor should you have any concerns.

Students have been advised of this plan in an email from Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students) Professor Deborah West. They have also been encouraged to regularly check their FLO topic sites for information on how their topics will progress in the coming weeks.

As you will have read, the University sustained some significant storm damage over the weekend and work continues to ensure the campus is safe and accessible ahead of the scheduled return to work tomorrow morning.

The COVID-19 staff information page is regularly updated to provide current information and advice for all Flinders staff during this time. Students can access latest information on the COVID-19 student information page.

Take care and do not hesitate to utilise the supports available should you be experiencing any difficulties with the impacts of this virus.
