HDR spaces completed

We have completed refurbishments for 21 Higher Degree by Research (HDR) offices in the Social Sciences North building. This project has involved painting the rooms, replacing flooring with new carpet, and purchasing ergonomically friendly desks and other furniture to refresh these spaces for our HDR students.

Accessibility improvements to stairs outside of student hub

As part of our aim to make our campuses more accessible, we have just completed improvements to the stairs outside the student hub. These are located outside the western doors, near car park 1.

Works have included applying tactile indicators (raised studs) to the top and bottom of the staircase, as well as nosings on each of the steps. Both measures will improve safety for students and staff with accessibility requirements, as well as improving the look and finish of the staircase.
