Jarring testimonials highlight lasting trauma

Brad Mitchell, Course Coordinator of the Bachelor of Paramedic Science and part-time paramedic, has shared his experience with traumatic road accidents in the latest road safety campaign issued by South Australian Police (SAPOL).

Designed to highlight the long-lasting and far-reaching impact of every road trauma event, the campaign tells the story of a high-speed crash that killed 19-year old Nick. It features a series of recent interviews with Nick’s parents, Glynis and Michael Holbrooks; his best mate, Phillip, who was driving that night, and the first responders, including Brad, providing a paramedic’s perspective.

Now airing on South Australian TV, the campaign includes 13 different commercials. These will be released gradually, to build the story of Nick’s crash from various perspectives, starting with Phillip’s recount of the moment he learned his driving had caused his best mate’s death.
