Gaming impact in a BRAVE new (virtual) world

As lockdowns and restrictions begin to ease around Australia, Associate Professor Daniel L. King will be examining how stay-at-home orders saw an increase in online gaming, and assesses the impact this has had on people’s health, for the latest edition of the BRAVE lecture series: Brave New (Virtual) World: Gaming and Problem Gaming in the Age of COVID-19, to be held at Alere Function Centre and via online streaming on Tuesday 26 October.

Associate Professor King will explore how COVID-19 has affected gaming and problem gaming. While online gaming was leveraged to support public health measures, there is growing recognition and understanding of the harm that unhealthy gaming habits can cause.

Yes – it’s a Brave New (Virtual) World, and it’s vital we understand it. For more information about the BRAVE lectures and to register for this event to either attend in person or for online streaming access, click here.
