Improving food security this Christmas

With Christmas soon approaching, the College of Science and Engineering is again holding its end-of-year Christmas appeal – and this year, the charity that will receive its goodwill is Foodbank SA.

The appeal is calling for the donation of non-perishable food items and toiletries, to support South Australians who are experiencing food insecurity.

A full list of items that can be donated to the food drive.

The most wanted items are cereals, long-life milk, tuna, canned foods (including beans, spaghetti, meals), pasta and pasta sauce jars or cans, tinned fruit/veg and toiletries (including sanitary products, toilet paper etc.) See the image at left for a full list of items that can be donated.

Each time you shop, add a couple of extra items into your trolley that you can donate to this very worthwhile cause.

Christmas trees with collection boxes are located in the Physical Science building at Bedford Park and level 3 at Tonsley, and will be taking donations until COB Friday 10 December.
