Festive season brings new campus updates

A new bus shelter at Bedford Park is among the many works underway across Flinders University.

Delay to Laneway resurfacing

Please be aware that there has been a delay to the scheduled works on the Laneway, as advised last week. The Laneway and the coffee caravan will remain open this week.

We will advise when works are rescheduled.

Fire hydrant maintenance

Over the coming weeks, there will be fire main water supply isolations occurring intermittently across Bedford Park, Sturt, Flinders Living, Tonsley and the Mark Oliphant Building. Generally, this work should not affect the mains potable water supply, but may impact buildings with a hydrant inside.

We will communicate directly with affected stakeholders when the works program is finalised.

Registry bus works

Works to install a new bus stop shelter at Registry Road Bus Stop A have commenced and will continue until the end of January 2022. Bus Stop A will be closed during the works and all metro buses will be redirected to Registry Road Bus Stop B.

The Loop Bus stop has been relocated to the front of the Gym and additional access parking places are available on the upper level of car park 6.

Please take additional care in the area and follow all directional signage and traffic management instructions.

Car park 7 and 8 closures

Please remember that car parks 7 and 8 in the South Ridge precinct are now closed to support works in this area. Car park 7 is expected to reopen in late February 2022 and car park 8 at the end of January 2022.

Information on other car parking options nearby is available here.

Please take care when moving through this area, following any directions and signage in place.

Car park 21 now closed

A reminder that car park 21 is now closed. Please visit www.flinders.edu.au/parking for information about other parking options in the area.

Oval irrigation – lower oval completed

Irrigation works on the bottom oval are now completed. There will be some settling of the surface over the next couple of weeks, however the space and the pavilion between the top and bottom ovals can now be used.
