Works to Anchor Court and Council Room

Campus works continuing across Flinders University include concrete rectification in Anchor Court, a Council Room upgrade and the arrival of a second crane for the HMRB construction this weekend.

Concrete rectification works in Anchor Court

Concrete rectification works will occur in Anchor Court between Monday 11 April and Thursday 14 April. This essential work is likely to create noise, dust and debris while contractors cut a box drain into concrete along the Physical Sciences building’s eastern wall, behind the coffee caravan. This has been scheduled during the mid-semester break to minimise the impact as much as possible.

Council room refurbishment

The Council Room on level 2 in Registry Building will be unavailable from Monday 11 April while refurbishment occurs. Works are scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2022, so please use alternative spaces during this time. Registry Building occupants may experience some noise while the refurbishment takes place.

Second HMRB crane arriving this weekend

A second crane, to be erected on the eastern side of the Health and Medical Research Building construction site, will arrive on site on 8 April 2022 and installed the following weekend. Traffic management will be in place as the second crane is brought onto campus. All possible efforts will be made to restrict the impact to campus traffic flow, but as always, we ask you please to slow down and take additional care at this time.

Two cranes will be on the building site for the next 12 months as the project progresses. Exclusion zones for when these cranes are active will be restricted to within the work site boundary, but, whenever necessary, traffic and pedestrian management will be in place to ensure the safety of people passing by the boundary.
