Win Something Big with free double pass

Something Big, a dark new comedy from award-winning Australian playwright Anna Barnes, is about to have its world premiere season at Rumpus Theatre –  and Flinders University staff can be in the running to win one of two free double passes to see the production on Tuesday 7 June.

Something Big follows three friends – Thomas, Pia and Julia – as they react to a horrific event.

Flinders University graduate Ren Williams (BCreatArts(Hons) ’21) as Pia

While the friends catch up over dinner, the international news cycle is dominated with the announcement that a major passenger airline flight has crashed, killing all 200 souls on board.

As the trio try to process the enormity of what has happened, they relive the events of the party, searching for clarity in the midst of jealousy, broken friendships and utter confusion.

Flinders graduate Connor Reidy (BCreatArts(Drama) ’21) takes the reins as director of this stage production, while fellow graduates Aarod Vawser (BCreatArts(Hons) ’21), Ren Williams (BCreatArts(Hons) ’21) and Melissa Pullinger (BCreatArts(Hons) take to the stage in the key roles of Thomas, Pia and Julia respectively.

Together, these four Flinders graduates are at the helm of the CRAM Collective, a South Australian independent theatre collective.

For your chance to win a double pass to see this production, email Rebecca.esteve@flinders.edu.au with SOMETHING BIG as the subject by 5pm Tuesday 31 May. Winners will be drawn at random.

The season of Something Big at Rumpus Theatre (100 Sixth Street, Bowden) is running from June 2-12, and bookings for all performances can be made here.
