Take care in the Plaza this weekend as tree pruning occurs, and be aware of temporary building closures as electrical maintenance continues.
Ongoing electrical maintenance and temporary building closures this weekendÂ
Essential high voltage electrical maintenance will continue across South Ridge this weekend, resulting in a series of power outages to buildings. Please ensure you save all work and shut down computers and equipment ahead of these times.
For safety reasons, buildings will be temporarily closed in line with this schedule and no access will be permitted. Due to the closures, there will also be no lift access within these buildings. The Hub and Library will be unaffected and open for use if you will be on campus at this time. If you require access assistance at any time, please contact Security on 8201 2880.
Please contact Craig Brown via email ASAP with any queries about this work, which is part of a rolling three-year program of maintenance works. For any other electrical queries, please contact the electrical team via Service One.

Tree pruning in the Plaza this weekend
Maintenance pruning to some trees in the Bedford Park campus Plaza will occur on Saturday 16 July between 8am and 5pm, weather permitting. The top level in front of food and retail outlets on the Plaza’s eastern side will be out of bounds. The grass terraces may need to be clear at certain stages while some branches are trimmed overhead. The remainder of the Plaza will be useable, but the area will be noisy at times – and please follow any signage or directions.
