Flinders University Academy takes shape

The home of the new Flinders University Academy is beginning to take shape, as works begin to revitalise and repurpose the old Co-Op space near the Library at Bedford Park campus, as well as transforming surrounding areas and learning spaces on levels 1 and 2.

To enable this work, Library computer labs 151, 152, 163 and 164 will be relocated to new four new student study spaces on levels 2 and 3 of the Library. These new study spaces will be equipped with new carpeting, paintwork and furniture, with new network switches and WAPs providing better connectivity within the Library.

To prepare the spaces for construction, PCs are being removed from these computer labs next week. Construction works are expected to start on August 18, with the project scheduled for completion by October. Please note that there is no access to these spaces until after this time.

This project will deliver five new teaching spaces and a student service centre for Flinders University Academy, as well as four new quiet study spaces for students to use within the Central Library.
